These dynamic engagement activities ensure that road safety messages resonate deeply with the audience and lead to lasting behavioral change.
Data Security: Protecting Driver Information
In line with our commitment to privacy and security, TCI Safe Safar captures driver data through a secure Digital Asset Management system. This system ensures that sensitive information is stored safely and is only accessible to authorized personnel, upholding the highest standards of data security and driver privacy.
At TCI Safe Safar, we are on a mission to make India’s roads safer, one step at a time. What began in 2019 with the vision, “To Drivers, Through Drivers – Making India’s Roads Safer!” has now grown into a nationwide movement. This initiative not only impacts truck drivers and transporters but also the communities around logistics hubs and future generations.
We believe road safety is everyone’s responsibility. Through education, awareness, and innovation, we aim to save lives, improve safety practices, and promote a culture of responsibility on the road. Join us as we continue working towards safer roads for all.
TCI Safe Safar was launched in January 2019 in Gurgaon, with the vision: “To Drivers, Through Drivers – Making India’s Roads Safer!” Inaugurated by Shri Nitin Gadkari, this initiative marked the start of a nationwide road safety mission
The COVID-19 pandemic paused our activities in 2020, but we adapted swiftly. In 2021, Safe Safar Phase 2 was relaunched, incorporating COVID-19 safety protocols, allowing us to continue with safe and responsible events at various locations.
In 2022, we expanded our focus to environmental sustainability, educating stakeholders about the dangers of single-use plastics. In 2023-24, we integrated technology for truck drivers, introducing apps like Sarathi Parivahan, Vahan, and Google Maps to enhance their driving experience and ensure safer journeys.
In 2024, TCI Safe Safar focused on educating schoolchildren about road safety. With Chhota Bheem, we made learning fun using street plays (Nukkad Nataks) to teach traffic rules, helmet use, and safe road practices. We are also developing case studies to inspire future leaders in safety and sustainability.
Looking ahead, TCI Safe Safar is committed to innovation and sustainability. We will introduce electric vehicle (EV) trucks to reduce our carbon footprint and launch a podcast to highlight resilience stories in the transport industry. Collaborating with IIHMR, we’ll also conduct an anthropology study on the future aspirations of drivers’ children to address India’s driver shortage. These efforts aim to build a sustainable, inclusive future for the logistics industry.
TCI Safe Safar Junior, focused on promoting road safety awareness among school children across India. To make learning engaging, we have endorsed Chhota Bheem & Friends, popular Indian cartoon characters, to help children learn important road safety rules through fun activities, nukkad nataks, and classroom storytelling.
